A LITTLE ABOUT ME...
Hi, I’m Karen – founder of The Virtual Pilates Studio. I'm a certified Pilates and Barre instructor, and Personal Trainer with over 20 years of teaching experience. I've worked at various boutique studios and Gyms in London, including Zero Gravity Pilates, Xtend Barre and Nuffield Health.
My love for movement started at an early age when I fell in love with dance. I trained at the renowned Laine Theatre Arts, graduating with a Dance and Teaching Diploma. I then went on to have a successful 20 year career travelling the world as a professional dancer. During my career I was lucky enough to be introduced to Pilates, which then became an integral part of my dance training and career.
In 2013 I transitioned from professional dancer to certified Pilates & Barre Instructor and Personal Trainer, working at luxury health clubs in Canary Wharf, including HSBC, Morgan Stanley & Credit Suisse. I have since gone on to develop my own unique Pilates, Barre & Floor Barre program.
My clients range from busy professionals, retirees to pre/post natal mums. I work with private clients in their homes and online (Zoom/FaceTime) training clients virtually all over the world.
I have a holistic and intuitive approach when working with my clients adapting to each of their individual unique needs. I believe that for people to feel truly aligned, there must be a balance between body, mind and soul.
